What is the size of the arena?
  • 6 ft. x 6 ft.
What kind of material is used for the arena?
  • The arena that will be used is a regular-printed tarpaulin.
What kind of robot is needed for the competition?
  • Any kind of robot may be used for the competition as long as it fits the dimensions declared and has a color sensor.
Do we need to attach other sensors to the robot?
  • It is at the discretion of the participants whether they want to attach other parts to their robot, as long as they fit the declared dimensions.
  • If the robot does not meet the declared dimensions during the inspection, the participants must remove the excess parts.
What if we ran out of batteries? Will TechnoKids Philippines be able to provide us with extras?
  • The participants may borrow batteries from the game marshals by filling out a borrower’s slip. Once the round is over, the participants must return the borrowed batteries.
What will happen during the calibration time?
  • During the calibration time, the participants will be given five (5) minutes each round to test out the robots in their assigned arenas before the start of the actual game.
What will happen during the inspection of robots?
  • The TechnoKids staff will be measuring the robots. After measuring the robots, the participants must turn them in.
